Nadia Lichtig born in Germany, Munich in 1973, lives and work in South of France, Montpellier. Nadia Lichtig is a visual artist. She studied art and linguistics, a double training that she brings together in her artistic practice, inquiring about language, memory and trauma. In the context of the history of western culture founded on a dualism between body and mind, the artist is investigating the bodily spaces that linguistic conditions move us into. In her multilayered series, Lichtig is transposing collected testimonies in various media, investing the question of how images are created.
